At Pomona-Pitzer: Completed her first season as a member of the Pomona-Pitzer Women's Tennis team…2013: First-team All-SCIAC...Had a team-best 17-6 record in singles...Was 5-1 filling in at doubles...Reached the semifinals of the Fall ITA West Region Championships (64 competitors) and the Ojai Valley Tournament (32 competitors)...Began the year 8-0 in singles, with five wins over nationally ranked teams, including No. 10 Bowdoin...Earned a 6-4, 7-6 win over No. 2 CMS in the regular season...Defeated top seed Jessica Ly of Redlands at Ojai...Filled in at doubles in the NCAA Regional finals and was part of a big 9-7 comeback win at No. 2 doubles, after trailing 7-4...Only doubles loss was in a tiebreaker to No. 10 Bowdoin...Featured in the Los Angeles Times for her success as a tennis player and author, and her work with charity in her native Philippines.

High School: Attended Immaculate Conception Academy in Manila, Philippines, where she played tennis and ping pong…Served as team captain of the tennis team for three years…Was a gold medalist in the NCR Regional Palarong Pambansa in 2011…Won the Head Junior Tennis Tour National Satellite Circuit, and the Milo Tecnifibre National Tournament (Girls Singles 18 and Under) in 2011 and 2012…Won back-to-back Truflex National Age Group singles titles (and one title in doubles)…Earned the Alabang National Age Group championship in 2011…Won the Milo Junior National Tennis Cup, at both the 18 and Under and 16 and Under levels Earning an 18U title in 2010, and 16U titles in 2009 and 2010…Earned both 18U and 16U titles in the Prince EX03 Next Generation national tournament…Selected to represent Philippines in the Junior Fed Cup in Malaysia in 2010…Graduated in the top four in her class, and received a special award for writing at graduation…Also won a story writing contest at Immaculate Conception regarding Mother Nature in February of 2010.

Personal: Attending Pomona College…Has an older brother and two other sisters…Hobbies include writing short stories, reading, jogging, playing ping pong and laser tag…Lists Roger Federer as her favorite athlete…Favorite books are the Harry Potter series and favorite movies are The Lion King and 500 Days of Summer…Lists Walt Disney as the public figure she most admires…Created the “Are You READy?” foundation that aims to promote literacy in the Philippines with its first project “Gintong Isip (Golden Minds),” a tie-up with Habitat for Humanity, which is putting up libraries in different areas in the Philippines…Chose Pomona because “A big factor for me was the small class size and the fact that the professors really give their attention to each of the students. I like the fact that it’s also part of a consortium and that we can take classes in any of the 5Cs. I think that the liberal arts education that one gets in Pomona can lead one to excel in any field in the outside world. Plus, I love the fact that I can play tennis in every season of the year here and the sun is always shining here in California.”
