Swim and Dive: Pomona-Pitzer Women Finish 17th; Men Finish 30th At NCAA Championships

GREENSBORO, NC – The Pomona-Pitzer swimming and diving team finished up day four of the NCAA Championships with the women's team in 17th place and the men's team finished in 30th overall.

The 17th place and 30th place finishes at the NCAA Championships are the highest finishing teams for Pomona-Pitzer since the 90's.

Freshman Angela Ling finished tied for 16th in the 200 Yard Backstroke as she set a new Pomona-Pitzer school record and swam a career best time of 2:02.88.  

Sophomore Mark Hallman came in 20th place in the 100 Yard Freestyle as he swam a time of 45.32.

The Sagehens also finished in 20th place in the women's 100 Yard Freestyle as freshman Maddie Kauahi clocked in with a time of 51.46.

Pomona-Pitzer ended the day as the men's 400 Freestyle Relay team finished in 17th place with the team of freshman Adrian Hui, Hallman, senior Phillip Clayman and sophomore Samuel To coming in with a time of 3:03.27.

The Sagehens finished the NCAA Championships with three top-10 finishes and 10 top-20 finishes throughout the four days of competition.
