Swim and Dive: Angela Ling Takes 13th In 100 Yard Backstroke At Day Three Of NCAA Championships

GREENSBORO, NC – The Pomona-Pitzer swimming and diving team finished up day three of the NCAA Championship at the Greensboro Aquatics Center.

The Pomona-Pitzer women's team currently sits in 16th place overall with 41 points and the men's team is in 25th place with 28 points.

Starting off the night for Pomona-Pitzer was freshman Angela Ling who competed in the women's 100 Yard Backstroke where she took 13th place overall with a time of 55.95. Ling's time also earned her All-American Honorable Mention.

The Sagehens also had the men's 800 Yard Freestyle relay finish in 17th place as the team of senior Phillip Clayman, sophomore Samuel To, freshman Jack Swanson and sophomore Mark Hallman clocked in with a time of 6:47.44.

To also competed as an individual in the 100 Yard Backstroke where he finished in 31st with a time of 50.81.

Sophomore Kara Miller-Radest finished with a good time in the morning Preliminary race as she finished in 19th in the 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 2:05.66.

The Sagehens will continue the NCAA Championships tomorrow with the Preliminary races starting at 9:00 a.m. ET and the finals starting at 5:00 p.m. ET.
