Distance Runners Shine in Distance Carnival
Rose Haag clears the Steeplechase barrier
Pomona-Pitzer's distance running women ran impressively quick times Saturday, March 13 at the Occidental Distance Carnival in Eagle Rock. Eight Sagehens competed in the meet, with six recording all-time personal bests.
Senior Maddy Kieselhorst clocked a strong conference-leading PR of 4:54.20 in the 1500m to start off the evening under the lights. Junior Rose Haag set a personal best of 18:39.11 in the 5000m -- the #8 all-time mark in Pomona-Pitzer history. Junior Zoe Meyers ran 18:53.20 for a PR. Rachel Haislet, a late add to the 25-lap 10k race, ran 42:55.56 in her first-ever outing at that distance.
Pomona-Pitzer next competes in the California/Nevada Collegiate Championships at UCLA on March 28-29.
