Kelsyn Bevins '08
Name: Kelsyn Bevins
Graduation Year: 2008
Hometown/High School: Missoula, MT; Hellgate
HS
Where do you currently live? South
Korea
What have you been doing since you graduated?
Received a Fulbright Grant to teach Elementary English in rural
South Korea for the ‘08-’09 school year. Received an
additional Fulbright Korea Alumni Fund Award to develop and
implement a Disc Golf program for students without access to
after-school activities.
Will be returning to the United States in Summer ’09 to
begin Law School at Lewis and Clark in Portland, OR.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
Hopefully putting a law degree to use as a public defense attorney
or a Judicial clerk.
What do you remember most about your experience in the
Pomona-Pitzer Women’s Soccer program?
Although winning the SCIAC title in 2005 and going to the NCAA
tournament was definitely a highlight of my four years, I think my
favorite part were the in’s and out’s of everyday
practice. Being with my teammates and forging life-long bonds makes
me perpetually grateful for my time with Pomona-Pitzer soccer.
What makes Pomona/Pitzer special?
Playing with and learning from such talented individuals on and
off the field is a part of Pomona-Pitzer soccer that makes it
really unique. Everyone on the team has other activities,
commitments and goals they follow through on and achieve. On the
Pomona-Pitzer team, you’re likely to find a scientist, a
politics junkie, an environmentalist, a Spanish major, an economist
and a musician. You just can’t say the same thing for other
college soccer programs.
