Player Testimonial

I strongly recommend the Pomona-Pitzer Women’s Basketball program to high school students who are motivated to excel athletically and academically. The Pomona-Pitzer program offers the best of all worlds, including:
• A competitive schedule against some of the top Division
III and NAIA teams in the country.
• A coaching staff with a tremendous commitment to ensuring
that players remain engaged members of the academic community.
• An unbeatable small college setting that fosters lifelong
comradery between peers and teammates.
In my four years as a Sagehen, hard work on the court yielded
two conference championships, an NCAA tournament appearance,
individual honors, and the opportunity to play overseas when I
graduated. I received the highest caliber liberal arts education,
rarely missed a class due to basketball obligations, was able to
work as editor for the school paper, and wrote and defended a
senior thesis. More importantly, I built irreplaceable friendships
with teammates, coaching staff and professors. Being part of the
Pomona-Pitzer basketball family was a defining undergraduate
experience. Any student hungry for both a robust academic and
athletic experience need not look further.
