LAX Falls Short Against Allegheny

By Rachel Kessler

CLAREMONT, CA - The Pomona-Pitzer lacrosse team battled it out against Pennsylvania's Allegheny Wednesday night on a rain soaked field. After a 3-0 spring break in Dallas, the Hens fell short against the Gators leaving the final score 14-10.

Scorers for the Sagehens were spread between midfielders, Logan Galansky, Hannah T'Kindt, Martha Marich, and Jana London. Emma Molloy and Jenny Miner each tallied one goal, contributing to the final score.

Freshman goalie Casey Leek was an aggressive force in the net, saving 14 of the Gators 28 shots. Defense was backed by freshman Marlene Haggblade and junior Maddy Noble

Throughout the game, handling tough calls, some faults in transitions, and frustration, the Hens remained composed and never gave up. The Pomona-Pitzer team is optimistically anticipating the games against Linfield on Friday (3/25) and Pacific University on Monday (3/28).
