Women's Golf: Sagehens Take Fourth At SCIAC I Tournament

The Pomona-Pitzer women's golf team finished in fourth place at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament No. 1 on Saturday and Sunday at Tukwet Canyon Golf Course in Beaumont.

The top finisher for the Sagehens was senior Tiffany Gu who shot an 81 in day one and a 78 in day two for a 36-hole total of 159, which was good for eighth place overall.

Finishing right behind Gu was freshman Sophia Hui who finished in ninth place with a consistent 80 in both rounds for a total of 160.

Sophomore Victoria Vardenega finished in a tie for 12th place as she shot an 83 and an 81 for a total of 164.

Freshman Catherine Lott finshed the tournament with an 89 in day one and an 85 in day two for a tie for 27th with a score of 174.

Freshman Sophia Montano shot an 86 in day one and did not play in day two of the competition.

Shooting as an individual, sophomore Kate Hartman posted an 85 and an 83 for an overall score of 168, which landed her in 19th overall.

The Sagehens next participate in the Desert Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, February 27th.
