Men's Water Polo: Clayman, Baker and Ward Tabbed ACWPC All-Americans

CLAREMONT, Calif. – Three members of the Pomona-Pitzer men's water polo team received All-American honors as announced by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches.

Headlining the awards for the Sagehens is senior Phillip Clayman who was tabbed Second Team All-American. Junior James Baker and freshman Adam Ward were selected as Honorable Mention All-Americans.

Clayman is a former two-time SCIAC All-Academic selection and was a WWPA All-Freshman selection in 2012. Clayman finished the 2015 season leading the Sagehens and finished third in the conference with 59 goals.

Baker is a two-time ACWPC All-Academic selection and tabbed a SCIAC All-Academic member in 2014. Baker finished the 2015 season third on the Sagehens in goals with 45.

Ward capped off his freshman campaign second on the team and seventh in the SCIAC in goals with 49.

"We are proud that our leaders are recognized amongst the top players in the NCAA, said interim head coach Alex La. "Phillip, James, and Adam were integral parts of our success and we are honored that they are recognized."

The Sagehens finished the season 13-16 overall while going 5-6 in SCIAC play. Pomona-Pitzer defeated Cal Lutheran 13-8 to take fifth place in the SCIAC Tournament.
