Men's Swimming and Diving: Pomona-Pitzer Defeats Redlands In SCIAC Meet 201-77

REDLANDS, Calif. -- The Pomona-Pitzer men's swimming and diving team defeated the Redlands Bulldogs 201-77 this morning on the campus of Redlands.

Leading the way for the Sagehens was sophomore Samuel To, sophomore Mark Hallman and senior Phillip Clayman who each won two events for Pomona-Pitzer.

To started things out with a victory in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 53.22 and also won the 400 Yard IM clocking in at 4:15.53. 

Hallman came in first in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:45.74 and in the 500 Yard Freestyle clocking in at 4:46.89.

Clayman took first in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 21.87 and in the 100 Yard Freestyle at 48.04.

Junior Jeremy Goldberg topped the charts in the One Meter Dive with a final score of 200.35.

Freshman Teddy Koerner won the 100 Yard Breaststroke clocking in at 1:00.44. Junior Daniel Villars took first place in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 53.90.

Freshman Jack Swanson took first place in the 1,000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 9:59.13. Freshman Jeffrey Tran won the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:11.30.

The Sagehens capped off the meet taking first place in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay with the team of freshman Adrian Hui, To, Clayman and Hallman finishing with a time of 3:12.08.

Pomona-Pitzer next hits the pool on Saturday, January 30th at 11:00 a.m. against Occidental.
