CLAREMONT, Calif. -- Three Pomona-Pitzer swimmers have been nationally recognized as weekly award winners.
Sophomore Mark Hallman is the TeamUnify CollegeSwimming.com National Swimmer of the Week for the NCAA Division III. Teammates freshman Adrian Hui and Cayla Nishizaki are the TeamUnify CollegeSwimming.com Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Swimmers of the Week.
CollegeSwimming.com and TeamUnify have ramped up its coverage this season and the national website is now selecting national swimmers of the week as well as a male and female for each conference.
The awards are given not on a nomination basis, but strictly by a computerized system based on all submitted meet results from the week in question. Tuesday's designated awards encompassed a longer period of time from Dec. 28-Jan. 10.
