Men's Golf: Pomona-Pitzer Finishes SCIAC I Tournament In 6th Place

BEANOUNT, Calif. -- The Pomona-Pitzer men's golf team finished the SCIAC I Golf Tournament at Tukwet Canyon in sixth place.

The Sagehens shot a 325 for day one of the tournament and a 332 in day two for an overall score of 657, which was four points ahead of La Verne.

Pomona-Pitzer was led by freshman Conor Rooney who shot a 76 in day one and an 82 in day two for an overall score of 158, which was tied for fifth place overall.

Freshman Gilbert Chang finished the tournament tied for 18th overall with an 81 in day one and an 84 in day two for a final score of 165.

Freshman Jeff Carey also ended the tournament with a top-25 finish as he shot a 79 and an 88 for an overall score of 167, which was good for 25th overall.

Pomona-Pitzer next hits the course on Saturday, February 27th as they travel to Las Vegas, Nevada for the Desert Classic.
