Men's Water Polo Goes 4-0 at Convergence Tournament

This weekend the Sagehens co-hosted the annual Convergence Tournament, and won all four of their games, taking them to an overall 8-10 record, 6-0 at home. They defeated Fordham 14-9, Harvard 11-8, Santa Clara 10-9, and Gannon 13-8.

Most impressive was their upset of #11 Santa Clara University. The Sagehens came out hard against the Broncos, and never backed down, though they went into the second half trailing 3-5. They came back strong and won the second half 7-4, clinching victory. Goalie Kyle Pokorny protected his house with 9 blocks, while the offense was led by Ryan Balikian, who had 4 goals. Goals were also scored by David Lee, Jaron Moler, Matt Ward, Cody Moore, Mark Hudnall, and Jason Cox. The Sagehens are looking very strong, and continue to improve with every game.
