About the Program
Why is it important to get up for a 6:30 am practice session? You are not on an athletic scholarship. Why is it important to make a two hour practice more valuable than a four hour one? As a coach I can preach the many values of these things. I can talk about levels of understanding and learning. All of that pales in comparison to the real reason: Because we want to.

Six Sagehens Receive Major Sports Awards
Six Pomona-Pitzer athletes were awarded the program's major sports awards in a campus ceremony on May 6, 2009. Senior Drew Hedman (baseball) and junior Siobhan Finicane (tennis) were named Most Valuable Athlete, senior Cameron Taylor (soccer/tennis) and junior Claire McGroder (soccer/track) were awarded for Athletic Excellence, and senior Kevin Kelley (football) and senior Becca Lange (tennis) were named Scholar-Athlete.
