Jan 28: Pomona-Pitzer traveled to thousand Oaks to
square off against the Kingsmen of Cal Lutheran, with both teams
holding a 4-1 conference mark. PO-PI grabbed the early lead
and managed to push the margin as high as 16, but Cal Lu chipped
away before the half ended with PO-PI holding a 37-26 lead.
Again in the second half the Sagecocks managed to surge ahead,
extended the lead to 18, at 51-33 with just over 12 minutes to
play. Cal Lu wasn’t quite ready to pack it in, and the
margin was closed to 68-60 with just under a minute to play.

intentional; Cal Lu hit 2 free-throws, hit a 3 off the inbound
play, and with :37 seconds remaining, the Sagecocks were holding
onto a slim 68-65 lead. One of two FTs on the Sagecocks next
possession, followed by a Cal Lu miss, gave PO-PI a 69-65
victory.

had 13 apiece, and Adam Chaimowitz added 11.
