Pomona-Pitzer athletics swept the SCIAC Athlete of the Week award, as sophomore Quarterback (PI) Jake Caron and senior volleyball player Megan Prior (PO) were named for their outstanding performances last week (9/15-21).

Caron led the Sagehens to a 62-35 road win over Lewis & Clark. Caron led both the passing and running attack, amassing 441 total yards and 7 touchdowns. Caron rushed for 126 yards and 5 touchdowns, and was 24-32 for 315 yards and 2 touchdowns through the air. As if that was not enough, Caron also stood in as the Sagehen's punter, adding a 37 yard kick to his impressive stats.

Prior led the team to the Tournament Title at the Bridgewater Invitational.  The Sagehens went 4-0 on the weekend defeating Sweet Biar, Southern Virginia, Randolph and host Bridewater.  Middle Hitter Megan Prior led the team with 50 kills, hitting an impressive .477 (50 kills-9 errors-86 attempts) for the tournament and added 5 blocks to her performance.  One of her most impressive performances was against Southern Virginia University where Megan posted 18 kills with only 1 error in 29 attempts.  For her efforts, Megan was named to the All Tournament Team.
