The Hens were kept out of the win column last week as they ran into two
more tough early season opponents. At
Concordia, the Sagehens went down to the wire in a close ballgame. The Hens were able to outrebound and
outshoot the opposition from the floor on the night but Concordia would end up
the victor as they were able to take advantage of getting to the free
throw line 15 more times than the
Hens. Sterling Struckmeyer and Travis
Bray both paced the offensive attack with 17 points apiece in the game. Struckmeyer also pulled down a team-high 7
rebounds on the night as well as dishing out a team-high 4 assists.
On Saturday evening, the Hens played
against a solid Royals squad from Hope International. Leading the way offensively for the Sagehens was Ryan Williams,
as he collected 8 points on the night.
Right behind Williams was Jason Howie with 7 of his own. Tyler Velten tallied 6 points to go with his
team-high 7 boards.

12/08-09/00 Claremont-M-S Invitational
The
Sagehen women swam at the CMS Winter Invitational over the weekend. The Hens were one of 10 teams to participate
in the meet. As this meet fell three
days prior to the beginning of finals, the Hens swam in fewer events than
usual, and had an excellent meet. 27
season best times were produced as were 6 lifetime best times. The team will begin its winter training on
January 2nd, and is looking forward to their 4-day trip to Seattle
over the break.
The Hens do not compete again until
the 6th of January.
