Pomona-Pitzer 2008 Basketball School 
Each player participating in the Pomona-Pitzer Basketball School will not only undergo an enjoyable experience, but also one that will benefit him or her in many ways. This camp is an outstanding experience for young basketball players.
The camp stresses the development of a winning attitude along with the need of the age group involved, and is taught in a manner that makes learning the information interesting, understandable, and fun!
Coach Kat and his staff bring to this camp their excellent background of working with young athletes. This personalized instruction approach will give each player the opportunity to improve his or her fundemental basketball skills.
General Information:
• The Basketball School is held at Pomona-Pitzer Colleges in Claremont.
• The facilities are excellent. Rains Center has five indoor courts along with training and locker room facilities.
• Boys and girls entering grades 3 through 10 in the fall are eligible.
• There is close supervision at all times.
• Practical work with fundamentals and their applications to modern offensive and defensive methods will be the main features of this Basketball School.
Camp Features:
• Free Camp T-shirt.
• Free camp basketball.
• Daily fundamental instruction and demonstrations.
• Personalized instruction tailored to different age groups.
• Two full-court team games daily.
• Written player evaluations
• Individual awards for outstanding performances.
• Swim time based on availability of college pool.
• Campers must bring their own lunch, but free drinks will be provided.
Camp Options Available:
• All day or morning only.
Registration:
• Registration on Monday: 8:15 am - 9:00 am
• Daily Check-in: 8:30 am - 9:00 am
• Daily Pick-up: 12:00 noon (morning only campers); 4:00 pm (all day campers)
Sample Daily Schedule:
• 8:30 - 9:00 am: Check-in
• 9:00 - 9:15 am: Warm-up
• 9:15 - 10:30 am: Morning Instruction
• 10:30 am: Morning Team Games.
• 12:00 - 1:00 pm: Lunch/Swim/Films/Rest Period
• 1:00 - 2:00 pm: Afternoon Instruction
• 2:00 - 3:00 am: Scrimmages/Breakdown Work
• 3:00 - 4:00 am: Afternoon Team Games
Tuition:
• Tuition for the camp is $175.00 for the full day session. For a Morning Only session, the tuition is $90.00. A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a place for your camper.
Group Rates:
• Group rates for teams, friends, and relatives are available. For groups of 3 - 5 campers, a $10.00 discount is given to each camper. For groups of 6 or more, a $15.00 discount is given. This is an ideal way for whole teams to improve their athletic skills. In order to receive the group rate, all applications MUST be submitted together. If they are not submitted together, the applications will be treated as individual transactions.
