Bountiful athletic facilities are open to all students regardless of
participation in organized sports.  Rains Center for Sport and Recreation
houses two gymnasiums  (badminton, basketball, pickleball, volleyball). Also
within the center are racquetball, handball and squash courts. The
weight-training facility includes Cybex , Hammer Strength, Life Fitness,
free weights and fitness machines. The Cardio Room offers Life Fitness
ellipticals, treadmills, recumbent and incline bikes, and two types of
rowers.  You'll also find an exercise room for aerobics, ballroom dance,
core training, dance, fencing, hip hop, karate, pilates, tai chi, yoga, and
zumba, plus locker rooms for students, faculty and staff.  Outdoor sports
facilities include:  Haldeman and Pendleton Pools, baseball, soccer,
softball, lacrosse, ultimate Frisbee fields, 14 tennis courts at the Pauley
and Rogers facilities, and an all-weather track.  See the Physical

Aside from an extensive club and intramural program, Rains Center Sports and Recreation also offers free drop in classes to all Pomona and Pitzer students in both yoga and zumba both semesters.  These classes are for all levels of experience and require nothing else but a willingness to participate. All classes will be in the upstairs classroom of the Rains Center.  The first classes typically begin the first day after the last day to drop classes.
